Fireworks, Your Dog, and the Fourth of July! 💥 🧨 #doglife
There’s more to fear of fireworks than just the sounds on their own. There’s no way around that. In 13 years I have never once had a dog react strongly or negatively to 4th of July nor New Year’s festivities, and my home is full every year. Yes, I play an action movie through big speakers and we all hang out in the living room. But the part that’s hard to notice or measure is the state of your relationship. It matters. Please ask follow up questions if you’d like. Imagine, if your dog feels uncertain or insecure in low to medium level difficult situations, how would they ever listen or trust us in high level situations? So much of what a trainer/behaviorist asks of clients isn’t just to solve a narrow problem, it’s because this is what the dog REQUIRES to be the best version of themselves, and what’s best for their brains. The importance and value of the little things reveals itself in the bigger things when those situations arise. It’s really tough to fit a topic like this into a 3 minute reel, so please holler if you need clarification. Check out our dog products: https://www.etsy.com/shop/EverydayAnimals365
